Jupiter 11 135mm M39 on a R-D1. Will it fit?

I found the Jupiter 11 on eBay and I'm curious about it. Does anyone know if I can fit one on the Epson R-D1 using an adapter?

I'm sure it will if its LTM one. With LTM to M adapter can be used on any M-mount camera. But RD1's/Bessa's focus accuracy may be a problem with such a long lens.
 
Don't know the Jupiter 11 sorry but don't expect decent focus accuracy below f/5.6 with 135mm lenses. Better use a magnifier as well.
 
Just wanted to continue this thread. I got a Jupiter 11 yesterday, and added to my R-D1 with M39-Leica M adapter.

What I've found is that I can only use the lens at infinity. As soon as I switch out of infinity I get total blur!

Also, when moving the focus ring, I'm not seeing anything happening in the rangefinder.

Has anyone else had this problem?

P.S - a few test shots at ∞. 1 & 2 are cropped and overly post-processed! 3 is very lightly enhanced.

Russian lenses are built to a different standard, the Zeiss standard. Longer focal length lenses, the J-9 and J-11, are not going to focus close-up correctly. Infinity- they will work. This is what I found with my J-9.

The M39 version of the J-11 was made for the Zenit C SLR , the L39 version
of the J-11 was made to work on the Zorki and Fed RF camera.
 
Once again, we (Russians) took two systems Leica and Contax and copied them. While copying some of the Leica system parameters were changed to make production of one type of the block of the lens unified for both systems. This made Russian ltm lenses have different helicode so, it is no way Leica compatible. And when adjusting you can only make this lens focus at one only spot 1m or 2.5m or infinity.
Often this or that person reports that his jupiter11 or jupiter3 is accurate at mdf or at infinity. Reading this you must keep in mind that all that is on sale today are old lenses which have probably already been somehow adjusted by previous owners.
If you want to use jupiter11 on M camera, buy the Kiev/kontax version, a rangefinder coupled Contax rangefinder to ltm adapter and ltm to m adapter - will be surprised with the excellence of the Jupiters performance. Otherwise - just a waste of money.

Thanks folks, very helpful. Dang, I think I might need a new Jupiter 11 for my r-d1! mine won't focus at 1m or 2.5m.

Will stick it back on eBay, with a few warnings.

135mm lenses in LTM are cheap. A 135/4.5 Hektor or 135/3.5 Nikkor can be picked up well under $100. They are built to the Leica standard. I picked up an Acall 135/3.8 in LTM for $20.

I use my J-11 on a Contax II, works great. But a J-11 in screw mount is not going to work well on a Leica standard camera.
 
I snagged an old elmar 90/4 for my R-D1 to try out. It's still making it's way here through the postal system.

I figured I can probably focus it being f4 on the R-D1 and it works out to 135mm with the crop factor.
