Hi there,
I got a Kiev 4 with Jupiter-8, jupiter-11 and Jupiter-12, cases and a universal finder, all are in good condition (I paid £150, is this a good deal btw?), the only problem is the helical on the J-11 was very stiff, so I used instruction from Kiev survival to relube it, losing a few set screws in the process (one from the base that holds the distance scale part to the mount, and another from the top of the distance scale that holds the helical in). The lens now focuses perfectly off the camera, and fine on camera until the close end of the focus, where it becomes rather stiff. Anyone know what the problem could be? Rangefinder coupling is still fine.
Thanks in advance.
Rob

You might have paid a little too much, but not a whole lot. Just my opinion. I don't know enough to help you with your focusing problem.

To update, I've found both the missing screws but my problem still persists. Any ideas?
