I couldn't agree more but buying a camera and a lens with all the caps and the spool is far cheaper than buying each bit and paying P&P* over and over again. Hence my recommendation to avoid doubling the price of the lens.

Often the cost of P&P for a lens cap is higher than the P&P for the camera and lens, now add it up for all the bits and pieces. And many people who sell these small essential parts realise that they have you over a barrel and charge excessive amounts for them. This is one of the few areas where research on ebay pays off.
