I have a LTM J12 that has oil on the aperture blades and on the inner glass surfaces and need recommendations on repair persons in the U.S. or a tutorial on how to do this myself.

Cheers

A set of spanner wrenches come in handy if you decide to clean it yourself. I've cleaned a J-12 in contax/kiev mount.

This was my experience taking apart my lens. I'm not an expert with these things. Now I wish I took some pictures while doing it.

It was pretty straight forward taking it apart. The lens has two segments, front and rear. In kiev mount the rear segment can be unscrewed by hand, there are two element groups which can be accessed by removing a ring holding them together. Removing the rear lens group will give you access to the rear of the aperture blades.

The front element can be removed from the retaining rings on the front. There are three levels of rings. I was able to remove the front group by unscrewing the 2nd or middle set of rings. The front group comes similar to the rear group with the elements held together by a ring.

My experience was pretty straight forward, all the element and cells came apart easily and I used 99% alcohol and a lot of q-tips to clean them.
