Jupiter 8 filter size. Lens hood?

Am I right in thinking the the J-8 has the same filter size as the Industar 61 ?

Is it 40.5mm.

Can anyone point me towards a source for lens hoods in this size?

Correct, 40.5mm. Just search ebay for "40.5mm" and amongst the listings you will find filters, plastic lens caps and vented 'leica style' lemshoods.

Heavystar makes a good vented hood in 40.5mm, I use one. 40.5mm is a common size for filters.

Just as a note, Heavystar is out of town until June 28, so if you order something, you'll have to wait until July for delivery. I get a lot of my accessories from him, and am happy with the products he carries. But I lucked out when I was shopping around one day, and came across a Walz hood and filter set in 40.5mm. Gave my Heavystars one to a friend in Texas who was in need of a hood. I may still order another one to replace it if I start to muck up the Walz. He also has the one that comes with a pinch cap, so you can just cap it, and put in the bag without taking the hood off.
