Midniteson,
I love the image.
Can i ask, how bright was it ? 1/200 + f2 + slow film makes an interesting combination.
thanks

I think those lenses are generally sharp. Well, my two seem to be.

This was the second Jupiter 8 I bought, the first back - focussed quite a bit.
I don't know if it's significant, but the writing on the one that wouldn't focus was white and the 'good' one has green writing, a newer model I think.

That these lens are sharp is certainly not in question..quite where they are sharp is another matter entirely...

The best camera is one that still works!
Whatever the lens was ... that's a beautiful photograph!

Very nice. Your second J-8 apparently is shimmed perfectly for your iii.

That's a very nice image Midniteson. My father in law gave me a Jupiter 8 a few years ago; I didn't expect much of it, but after I had Malcolm Taylor service it while he was repairing an old Leica IIIa for me, I was astonished at just how good it is. I love it.

You're correct, Midniteson, I haven't quite got my head round posting images on the site. I think I've edited the post now so that there's a thumbnail that works - I think.

A properly-working Jupiter-8 is a thing of great beauty. I ADORE mine.

That picture looks like a record album cover--really grabs your attention. Nice work.

Thanks Santafecino, glad you think it would make an album cover...it is a publicity shot for a band
