From my last trip to Berlin some weeks ago. All on Tri-X, Jupiter-9 used on Leica M4. :)

What do you say about my photos? I did not use a hood with the J-9. Would it be good to increase the quality of the photos for contrast/sharpness?

It seems there is some great fsu glass ou there.
For one, after having tried two J8, an induster 22, seen a very bad J9 and considered the inherent focus issue described by Dante Stella on his site, I decided not to play the Russian roulette anymore.
Canon lenses offer such an alternative for not much more money, that I prefer not to loose my time and my money on fsu's.
Say, how was I at bringing the prices down uh? ;)

Krosya, great portrait BTW!

Florian, I like your horses picture:) I have also noticed a hood is good idea with J9. At last it's easier to get a hood for 49 mm. 40.5 mm is harder to get, at least where I live, and dollar is so high now it's no chance to get one from Fedka now.

This one is just plain fantastic. Of course, since I love horses, that my be why this one is my favorite, rather than the other 2 . Bravo!

Thanks, Jim, for the comment. I just wondered how the use of a hood might increase the contrast a bit or not. That samples were done without a hood.

Speaking of J-9 ... :) I just recived mine ... i am really curious about first photos :) I'll try to share the results ...

That J-9 looks really Good!

I just tried out a 1959 J-9 on my Contax II, shimmed it this week and lubed the helical. I'm looking forward to the results. I hope its as good as yours!

I also picked up a J-11 for the Contax. It is Green!
