Jupiter 9 pics

This week, I got a Jupiter 9 in the mail (from Russia). It was in pretty good shape but the barrel wiggled a bit. This was quickly remedied. This is the Contax mount version, which is really easy to service. As it turns out, the 'Tele' frame line on my cheapo Yashica Tele-Wide finder is dead on accurate for the 85mm focal length.

Yesterday, I snapped some pictures with it in Santa Fe (mounted on my Kiev 4) with PanF+. Here are some of the results... (click on the photos to get to their flickr page, where you can pixel peep the large scans). BTW, the third one was at f/2 with focus on the chair, all the others were at either f/4 or f/5.6.

I have been saying for a long time that j-9 is a very good lens. I used one in LTM.

Those are great pictures. I like those twin bells. My J-9 in Kiev mount is also a good lens.
