Hi all,

Just bought an Epson R-D1s RF, my first RF ever. I am thinking of buying the voigtlander 12mm F/5.6 for street photography and a voigtlander 35mm for "ordinary" photography.
As I understand, there should be an adpter or a mount ring that I need to attach to the camera in order to use these lenses, does this adapter come along with the lens usually(New from the box lens for example), or should it be bought separately?

For the 12mm you need to buy a separate adapter.

For the 35, there are three CV lenses (35/2.5 PII, 35/1.4, 35/1.2) that are M mount and do not need an adapter. There are two older (and now discontinued) lenses, the 35/2.5 "classic" and 35/1.7 Ultron that come in LTM and need a separate adapter.

Best,

Roland.

You can use any of the thread mount to m adapters on the rd1 with any lens. Meaning you could get by with just one adapter and leave it on the camera. Just screw off/on to change lenses.

There maybe a cv12mm, with rd1 finder, in the classifieds next week if you can hold out a few days. :)

Any RF that feels good in your hand and responds when you need it is the best choice!

Matt Denton provides a great resource.

For some reason, I have never been able to access CameraQuest from within China...
