Wilkommen! i have and use aLynx 14 also. Log on to Yashica Kid and learn all about this marvelous camera. Many users claim to to be equivalent in performance to a Leica with a Summilux.

Yeah, the Lynx 14 is a fine camera. Make sure to use a lens hood (shade) when taking photos, this lens is known to flare like crazy. But it is a lovely, lovely, camera. I dig 'em.
And welcome to you.

As different as chalk and cheese..
If I recall my World History,Mitternich used that expression to describe two European countries.

If Yashica made a shade for the Lynx 14 / 14e, I have never seen it. I'd love to have one!
I have found that you have to be careful with the Lynx - the little window for the rangefinder patch is directly over the lens barrel and is easily blocked. The rubber 'toilet plunger' style shades will block your rangefinder patch, for example.
However, there is a Kalt 58mm screw-in shade that will do the job. I looks like it is too long and would make the corners vignette, but in my experience it works just fine:

I use my lens shade at all times on the Lynx - even indoors. And I'm always pleased with the results.
Enjoy your Lynx!

That lens makes it look big!
I used a fitted case from a Yashica J-3 SLR for mine, moved the screw over a bit. Fit well, including the top portion covering the lens. I think a 58mm screw-in hood should work.
