Well-known
I'd never seriously considered one of these before but a posting by Kent about his new Summitar which he used on his NEX-3 got me thinking and researching.
I have been in the market for a replacement for my Lumix FX01 p&s for a while but not convinced by the market offerings in that category. The NEX-3 is ideal as it allows me to use all my extensive set of RF lenses (LM and LTM) and works just as well as a party/pocket camera.
I've only made test shots in the garden so far but love it with everything from the Elmar 35/3.5 LTM (tiny and perfect size) to the 135mm Tele-Elmar (surprisingly easy to use on the NEX-3).
Best of all, I found my NEX-3 on an internet auction site going for only £189 (body only). It's manufactur-refurbished rather than brand new but comes with a 12 month warranty and is absolutely fine out of the box and has everything with it.
I'm off to Hong Kong and Singapore on a business trip over the next fortnight so will take it with me plus my Zeiss 21/4.5, 35/2.8 and probably the DR Summicron 50.
