Just got my R-D1s, here is my first question

What is the screw that hangs down from the top center of the lens mount? it doesn't seem to be in any of the pictures.

I was wondering that earlier today when I was cleaning it, I hadn't noticed it before.

It’s not a screw 😀

It’s the rangefinder arm which suits against the scale of the lens. Look at your lens, you'll see a scale. Depending on how far it's up the scale results in the frame lines being in place 🙂
