No way I'm going to vote for digital, that's how I got started, 7 years later, I was bored to tears.

If I live downtown in a big city, I'd probably choose 35mm RF, but I don't.

If I live near scenic natural vistas, I'd probably choose LF, but I don't.

So given where I live and the type of pictures I can shoot regularly, I'd have to go with MF SLR (big negatives are beautiful).

Boy that's depressing...

I'll just go home and pat my multi-format, multi-style cameras 🙂

I'll take my Rolleiflex SL 35 E with the f/1.4 Planar over any camera any day. It's compact. The f/1.4 Planar is unbelievably good. It doesn't weigh a ton. It didn't cost me several thousand dollars. I get to decide what's in focus. The manual is about 30 pages, not 300 pages. What's not to like?

After that, I'd take a Rollei 35 with a Tessar or the folding Contessa, a rigid Contessa, a Zeiss Ikon Contax IIa with the f/1.5 Sonnar, the Super Ikonta III with a Tessar and then the Rolleiflex 3.5F with a Planar. Maybe a Rolleiflex SL 66.

I voted for a T3, but when it comes down for it i'd like a OM-1 with some lenses, if necessary to strip down, a 35/2.

I love to share my preferences for the results I get with Pentax 6x7 with 105/2.4. Its not the camera per se but the results from that camera. If it was for weight and portability and discretion I would only go with my M2 with Summicron IV.
Two different worlds but sometimes pain is what counts at the end of the day. And I still carry the Leica combination every day...😀

It would be medium format film for me.
If just one camera with one lens, then I'd keep my Rolleiflex E with 75f3.5 Planar.
If just one camera with interchangeable lenses, then I'd keep my Hasselblad 500cm with 80mm, and buy a long and a wide lens for it.

Based on the comments it is very obvious that most of us are camera-polygamists 😀

For me it would also be medium format film. I voted for Mamiya 6, but should I really be pressed to choose just one I would be strongly tempted to go with either Pentax 67 or Contax 645 to gain more flexibility, or - on the other end of the spectrum - with a Rollieflex TLR as it is such a nice camera to use.

Damned if I know. Probably either the hacked up Crown Graphic or the F2. There is no digital I can afford so that keeps that out of contention. Probably the F2 in the end, non-AI glass is stupid cheap and still as good as it ever was. Combine with Tri-X and Diafine and it's as flexible as anything out there. OTOH, there are some really fun antique lenses for LF out there like my Wollensak triple convertible.

I'll pick something if I ever decide.

Let's see. First I said Nikon F2, then Mamiya Universal Flattop. Now I believe it would have to be my Leica IIIf as I enjoy using it the most ---- I think.

If I could only have one, then I would hold on to an M-mount 35mm RF. There will always be someone around with a DSLR or digital P&S, and my 5mp mobile phone camera is better than my first two digitals anyway, but 35mm black and white film is my "must have".
