I have just ordered a Nex5n and I need some adapters for it.
I need an LTM, Leica R (I think) and a Canon FD adapter.
I would love to be able to afford the Novoflex adapters as they look like they are nicely made but the budget is tight.
I am looking at the Dot-Line brand for the LTM and FD and Fotodiox for the R.
The question is are they any good?

I have either a Fotodiox or Rainbow Imaging LTM->NEX adapter and it works fine. I have LTM->M4/3, LTM->NEX, and LTM->EOS adapters and can never remember which one I got from where - Whatever was cheapest 🙂

I had to adjust the inner ring so the distance mark was straight up, but that wasn't difficult. I finally got around to shooting a measuring tape with some distance markers added, and found that the focus and DOF was spot on.

If I were to do it again, I might consider getting one of the M-mount adapters with a helicoid in it to allow close-up focusing. LTM->M adapters are pretty cheap to add to one of those. I wish someone would make an LTM adapter with a helicoid.

On that note (and I am not trying to hijack the thread 😱) -- are there any adapters for old, manual focus Minolta MC/MD lenses for either NEX or 4/3 ?

You could get hawk-peng m-nex helicoid adapter and add an ltm adapter for close focusing heaven! It's really pretty great.

I have a rainbowimaging for konica AR and it's perfect–solidly built, no problems at all.

+1 It really gives you an added close-focus dimension to every M and LTM mount lens in your cabinet. Really narrows the disparity between SLR lenses and RF lenses in close.
