Just ordered an R-D1! Firmware update? How to tell if done?

Hi R-D1 users-
I was wondering how I can tell if the firmware update has been done or not on the camera......?... I just ordered an R-D1 from BH photo used. Wish me luck I hope everything will work properly. They said it was a 9+ so I assume they checked it out..I do have a 14 day money back Gaurantee as well as a 90 day warranty.

I seem to recall there is a firmware version menu on the camera that will tell you which version it has. Other quick way to check is if you can set the camera to shoot RAW & JPG - new option on the S...

Go to Main Menu/Set-UP/LCD Monitor Brightness Adjustment.

This screen displays the Firmware version. The upgraded version is
Version 2.0

Well it does and it doesn't. If you don't have the firmware upgrade, the LCD adjustment screen won't say anything at all about firmware or which version. But once you perform the upgrade, it will indeed say R-D1 Ver. 2.0 under the LCD adjustment bar. 🙂
