As the title says, I just won the auction for lightly used RD1 in a box and all accessories and the camera looks mint on the photos.

I paid $1,180 USD. I have always wanted one but they are so rare to find for sale. With the AUD/USD exchange rate being the best in three years I have taken the plunge and this will be my main camera.

I am sure I will have more questions when the camera arrives and I have it in my hands.

However, I just wanted to check with experts here what are RD1/RD1s are going for these days?

Now that we're talking about it: is there a way to see the number of actuations of the shutter on these cameras ?
I haven't had an RD-1 in my hands yet, but if at all the number of actuations is recorded, you will find this number in the 'maker notes' (mfg specific) section of an image file's EXIF data.

Using a good EXIF viewer software might help - not all image processing programs display 'maker notes' data.

I'm using Irfanview. At the end of the Exif-list, it does show Maker Notes, but nothing about shutter actuations. Any suggestion for better software (meaning: software that shows all available information) ? Maybe irfanview does show everything, and it's simply not recorded ?

As far as I know the R-D1 doesn't record no of actuations. You can hope that image numbering has been on since new, and then guess if its on its first way round and not its 10th. 😉
