Depends if you enjoy the shuffle-stuff game. If you enjoy selling old stuff and acquiring new stuff, trying the new stuff, getting used to it, etc, then by all means. Since you are "highly satisfied" (photographically?) with what you have, the only reason to make this move is the excitement of the game. In my case, I too am highly satisfied with what I have. Which is why I'm not interested in selling or buying anything. But for me, selling and buying is not fun, it's stressful. I have a set of tools I know very well and I can work with instinctively. Would hate to change that unless a really big gain in image quality were possible. Can't imagine that happening anytime soon.
 
I have two R-D1's as well but would not sell either to finance the purchase of another digital rangefinder. Mostly since the R-D1's produce pictures unlike any other digital camera, including the M8.
 
Keep the RD1 for as long as they produce results that satisfy you. I wouldn't even sell one for the X100. I shot with the RD1 and then later added the M8. I like both and shooting with both. When the M9 showed up, I couldn't justify both the RD1 and M8. The only reason why I sold the RD1 was that the M8 was a better companion to the M9 with similar handling and same batteries. The RD1 was sold for a little more than purchase price (refurb from Epson, Japan).

If I could have afforded all three, I would have kept the RD1 in a heartbeat.
