Actually that is great idea, a top gear style show on photography, involving extensive torture of hosts 🙂

Kai + Lok + Alamby in 2014-2015 was really entertaining to watch, to be honest after Alamby left it didnt feel the same anymore, and Kai definitely felt more distant after he moved back to the UK which perhaps was the most reason he left DRTV in the first place?
Kai on his own might be good, although still not DRTV, didnt expect Lok leaving as well, hope we'll see ore of him as even though his english wasnt good he was entertaining and good with video.
The newer DRTV host are good, hopefully they will do more analogrev episodes.

I thought Kai was more involved with DigitalRev than simply putting their videos together, so I was a bit shocked that he could just leave something that was his. But I guess he was just the video guy, and they must have another.
I've found his reviews usually quite entertaining, even if they're not always educational. I followed his personal account as soon as I heard he left DigitalRev. I don't think they can replace him, but maybe that's the point? To go back to "just the facts" type videos.

To give credit where credit is due - they're still better than probably 90% of the people doing reviews on youtube. But yeah, if you already know what had been, why settle.

I especially enjoyed Kai's earlier work but in more recent times less so. I seldom have problems with profanity if its funny but sometimes his was just for the sake of it and strained (at which point if I said that to Kai he would look for a pooping joke, I am sure - which might be funny now that I come to think of it. :^) ) The main problem in this is that sometimes this locker room stuff dominated what should have been the real message. Never the less, credit where it is due, Kai brought a huge amount of traffic to the site and to his employers. I hope they understand who much they owe him. While sometimes his comments in his reviews were over the top his final summing up more often than not seemed fair and more balanced than I thought he was going to be. I think with Kai you just had to accept he was a big personality and sometimes that meant he was less "vanilla flavoured" than others might be. (Room for Kai to come in with another suggestive comment or joke here, if he were reading this).
Incidentally, recent reports say Lok has left too and that he may work with Kai. That pair is a classic straight man / funny man team - think, maybe, Abbott and Costello or maybe Laurel and Hardy. (Really reaching back into ancient history now).
All in all, I wish the team (Kai, Lok and Allamby all the best). Say interesting thought - wouldn't it be nice to see her back in the group now.
One final thought. A favourite model of mine was "Lady Garcia" who both appeared in Kai's reviews as a model and sometimes as a participant using a camera. Very cute with an engaging personality who got into the fun of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWU8DpTo5kg
