Kamera Express-where is my M8?

I ordered my M8 through Kamera Express web-site in The Nederland, since it was the only place where I could find one after my dealer let me down. After I made the bank transfer, they claimed that the camera was shipped on 17 November. I am in Italy, not in Australia, and the camera has not showed up yet. I paid 20 euro for shipping, assuming that the camera was going to be shipped fast, reliable and insured. After I inquired the first time they gave me a tracking number without referring to the postal service and they said that probably it is useless once the camera has left Holland. They stop replying to my e-mails and it is needless to say that I am getting very concerned! Does anybody have experience with Kamera Express? What would you do?

They are a superb store. Do you want me to call them? To Italy may take two weeks though. I come there very often, they are a small B&H...

Probably because of the delays associated with the 'recall' due to sensor issues. I'm promised delivery of mine on or shortly after 12/3. Hope you, and I, get ours soon!

According to their website it was probably shipped via TNT post.

You might see if you get anywhere with your tracking number there. I don't know how customs works within the EU. Perhaps it's trapped in a bureaucratic nightmare somewhere.

Thanks, at least it is a bit re-assuring to receive positive feedback about the store. However, if it was shipped through TNT, it should have taken 3-4 working days. There are no custom formalities within the EU.

So, with a bit of copy and paste you can work your way down the list until you find one that works for your reference they gave you.

Having Jaap call them is a good offer. IIRC Jaap is a "regular" there. 🙂

A clear case of delayed mail and miscommunication. I think the train is on the rails agan (as far as communication is concerned, the Italian postoffice might be another matter 🙁) Anyway, whatever happens, your package is fully insured and you won't be out of pocket. On the other hand, what usually happens to me is that I am complaining on the telephone and the postman arrives on my doorstep the moment I put the phone down. The same might happen to you. 🙂

It seems that the package has been finally located somewhere in Italy. That's why I think it should be important to provide the customers with the name of the postal service and traceable number to the destination. Let's see now how long it will take to get the camera in my hands. I will let you know when it arrives. A good forum like this could make miracles happening.
