Keep Spotmatic F and Takumars, or sell

You will regret selling that takumar 35/3.5. It is sharper than any modern zeiss or leica. I use it daily on my sony A7. It is a true gem.

that's a pretty extraordinary claim considering this:

got any comparisons to the better scoring zeiss wides (15/25/21)?

I tested the takumar 35 against zeiss zm 35 and leica 35 cron pre -asph, the takumar was sharper even at f/3.5 to 4. That is just my personal experience with digital. It could be a different story on film.

I have both an om1 and spotmatic sp2 and wouldn't sell either. The Pentax is just nice and robust and I use it one camera one lens style, while the om1 is great for taking a few lenses along. Unless space is a huge issue, you'll burn through the sales revenue in no time and the be short an excellent camera system

Give the Pentax F kit with 5 rolls of film to young person who is interested in film photography... it may be a the beginning of a long love for photography.

Just a another option

If you are not cashed strapped why not keep both?
Just take the battery out of the Spottie, and make a choice of switching cameras once or twice a year.....

from personal experience I know that you'll miss the Spottie a lot
My thought exactly.

If you sell the Spotmatic and the lenses, my guess is that six months down the road (or less) you will be kicking yourself.

Been there, done that, never again. :bang:
