+1 for suggestion to use gel-ice-packs.
Stuff two or three of these in a (cheap) picnic cooler (pick the size that fits your car).
This will cool your film (and your soda too) all day long. Stick it in a refrigerator at night in the hotel, they are ready to use again the next morning.
Also, film are more resilient to heat than you may think.
*Except* IR sensitive films, you'd want to cool these dudes in the dark.
