Yes, but what you do is check eBay prices for what has sold. So yes, they do actually reflect retail prices in private transactions. In fact, KEH sells through eBay as well so I'm fairly certain they price accordingly and pay attention to the trends from the biggest second hand sales marketplace on the internet. I don't pay attention to what things are listed for unless I'm pricing below the competition. Even then, this place and others are horrible bell-weathers as sales here are not actually tracked with real sold prices, like eBay and really, the buyers here are basically non-existent.

Here's one they actually sold on eBay. Now, this may be different from what you received and how that affects price, but here's a baseline to point to their sale price on eBay and you can use this to talk to them and see what they may be willing to do.

I don't really want to argue, but "go check ebay" is not very valuable advice - again, I'm hoping to get insight from forum member with first hand knowledge.

There probably very, very few (if any) forum members that have bought and sold enough 35 crons to have a good idea what it's worth without looking at items actually sold on eBay.

Besides that there a few other web sites that sell Leica gear, you can check them for prices.

Some people, who do not use eBay, do not know how to look for sold auctions or what that may be... I believe that you might need to be logged in to look at completed auctions?

On the other hand, I find eBay completed (sold) auctions AND forum classified prices to be very close to being the same on many items. Yes, I've bought and sold on both. Store prices are usually more.
