Kentmere 100 - What works for you?

I have been shooting a bit of Kentmere 100 and generally have been pleased. So far I have developed in Ilfosol 3, DD-X and lately Blazinal (Rodinal). To me it looks good in all three but I have been very happy with Blazinal. It gives nice tones and an old school look which I like. The quality vs cost per roll to shoot and develop is hard to beat.

The 1st photo was taken on Agfa APX100, the second on Kentmere 100, both developed in Rodinal 1:50. The cameras were 2 antiques, a Yashica Pentamatic, and an Agfaflex IV.

HC-100 is the best, X-TOL is OK, Rodinal ... so-so.

Once my bottle of Rodinal is finished (which won't be for a while, using 13ml of developer at 1:50, to do 2 films at a time) I'll have to find another developer - and all I can see easily available here (New Zealand) is the Ilford range.

Kentmere 100 Rodinal 1:50 for 15 min

Join flickr then you can copy & paste the size bbcode you need to post here or you can resize them within what the rff gallery allows & copy & paste image. It's pretty easy for me that way.

As for Kentmere 100 I've been buying up a good bit but haven't shot any yet. Want to shoot up my Arista EDU films first. Perceptol by Ilford is my fav. developer for slow films. If you like a fine grain that would be a good developer to try. It's a tad expensive but good on that roll of film you find special.

I've shot a lot of it over the last few years and find it works well in about everything I've tried. Xtol and Acufine were my main developers for it until recently when I started using up some old R09 (Rodinal). I was surprised how nice the negatives look in the Rodinal, even the 400 version. Surprisingly fine grain and full emulsion speed. I haven't darkroom printed any from that developer yet, but they scan fine.
