Kentmere 400, latest samples

dourbalistar:
Sorry about just reposting your picture; I thought I had deleted the post. You get such nice results from the Kentmere 400 at 5.5 minutes. I was wondering if you are rating it at 400 when you shoot it in your Nikon.

Thank you for the kind words, @mconnealy! I set the meter dial on my FM2n at 400, but generally give a bit more exposure. The three LED meter display on the FM2n is not that precise, but I aim for +/o, which according to the manual means overexposure by 1/5 to 1 stop. Usually this slight overexposure agrees with a hand-held incident reading with my Sekonic L-208.

FWIW, I have no way of controlling exposure with the RETO Ultra Wide & Slim, so those samples were taken with the camera's fixed f/11 aperture and 1/125 shutter speed. I interpret those results to mean that Kentmere 400 has decent latitude for overexposure.

Nikon FM2n, AI Nikkor 50mm f/1.8S, Kentmere Pan 400, developed in LegacyPro L110 at 1:31 for 5.5 minutes. Three individual black and white frames shot through Tiffen #25 Red, #58 Green, and #47 Blue filters, respectively, then combined using GIMP to create a trichrome color image.

More skill and patience than I! I'll stick with Fuji C400 or Ektar ;)
@wlewisiii, haha, thank you! Colors don't always come out right, but it's a fun challenge and the results are always interesting!
I love the colorful "spirits" along the trails.
@agentlossing, hopefully they don't get turned into stone hoodoos for any bad deeds!

Leica IIIc, Elmar 50mm 3.5. I'm liking the Kentmere in T-max developer. Sadly I've reached the end of my first 100' roll and I need to decide whether to get another or to switch to a different stock. I'm thinking I might get one of those 400' rolls of Kodak XX.
