I've been testing my old Leica II, which I recently cleaned and lubricated. While it's almost working, there's still an issue with the shutter button not resetting after firing. As I delve deeper into its internal workings, I'm increasingly impressed by its simplicity. The camera features a 1/1000th of a second shutter speed, added by Leitz in 1952. I'd like to remove the flash sync and decorate the resulting hole with something nice. Since my IIf has built-in synchronization, I don't need this feature on the II. It's been fun learning about the design of the camera, although it does take time!
