Kentmere 400, latest samples

Thanks for the warning! Are you using a film cutting guide for the leader like the ABLON, or just trimming by hand? I've not found the film to be brittle, but I also haven't tried it in a Barnack yet. I do have a Leica IIIc that I need to film test, maybe I won't use Kentmere 400.

Yea, I have an aftermarket trimmer, works quite well, but if the sprockets aren't in perfect place the Barnak's can chew-up the first few perforations. With TriX you can just see the first couple of perforations are a little damaged, but the Kentmere just broke apart and I confirmed it seems to break more easily than TriX (the only film I can compare at the moment). Maybe it's just my IIIf, I haven't tried it in any of my other ones...it happened twice in a row, the first time I shrugged it off, the second time I realized the potential for the damage a tiny bit of film can accomplish but luckily the pieces stayed in the baseplate.
