Kentmere 400, latest samples

Dourbalistar’s photos with Kentmere 400 in Legacy Pro 110 developer really show off the qualities of this film as an alternative to the now-more expensive Tri-X and TMax films. I’ve been shooting a lot of Cinestill Double X recently, and developing in Cinestill D96 Monobath. In late March I shot a roll of Kentmere 400, and decided to soup it in D96, to see what the results would look like. What I see is grainier than Dourbalistar’s photos, but still with nice tonality. Interested in what others think.

Thank you for the kind words, Bingley! Kentmere 400 does look a bit grainer in D96, but not in a bad way. How do you think it compares to your earlier experiments with Kentmere 400 in LegacyPro L110? In any case, I did just check prices at B&H and it seems even Kentmere is getting more expensive these days. Not sure if it's part of Ilford's price increase announced last month, now finally trickling down. I'm kicking myself for not stocking up on a few more bulk rolls sooner... :bang:
