Hey Ben - you are really carrying the flag for this film. I love it!
I recently bought a couple bulk rolls and have started using this as my Ultrafine Xtreme replacement (I wish they would bring that back).
I have shot a few rolls and developed in HC110 Dil B which I believe you are using the equivalent with L110 at 1:31. I am finding the resulting scans really flat with a whole lot of grey not much in the way of blacks or whites.
I am not seeing that in your posts here, are you normally adding lots of contrast in post?
Thanks
James

Thank you for the kind words, James! I also started using Kentmere 400 as a replacement for Ultrafine eXtreme 400 (RIP), trying to make lemonade so to speak. I don't typically add much if any contrast in post. In my hybrid workflow, most of my post processing consists of setting the black and white points by dragging the ends of the tone curve. For the photo in the post above, here's what it looks like under the hood in Lightroom 6.4. The red shows where white is clipping and blue where black is clipping. I hope that helps!Hey Ben - you are really carrying the flag for this film. I love it!

Thanks Ben. That helps.
Who do I talk to about starting production on UFX? While I am at it I will also talk to them about getting started on Plus-X too.

I bought a roll of Kentmere 100 & a roll of 400 today as experiments. I'll be shooting them in my Nikon F4 with a hybrid work flow.
Any suggestions? I've not done a lot of traditional B&W lately, mostly XP2 instead. I'd like to find a budget film that can remind me of something similar to Plus-X in the end.
Thanks!

I also use a hybrid workflow, digitizing with an older Sony NEX-5T and an EL-Nikkor 50/2.8 enlarging lens. I've included developer and development times in my posts, and also shared some details about my hybrid post processing in Post 743 above. Hopefully that's enough to get you started, but I'm happy to share more details about my process if that's helpful.I bought a roll of Kentmere 100 & a roll of 400 today as experiments. No problem! Forgot to add that LegacyPro L110 is a clone of HC-110. Harman/Ilford doesn't publish development times for either, so I referenced the Massive Dev Chart time for HC-110, and settled on 5.5 minutes with LegacyPro L110 in my workflow.Thank you, that has some useful information. I appreciate it.

These first two I'll do at box speed and take to the local lab. I'm considering investing in my own scanner and starting to home process again.
If I do, then I'll probably see how it plays Diafine eventually as that was always been my preferred chemistry. Should be able to do EI400 & EI800 @ 4+4 in it based on other film stocks like Foma/Arista.

Box speed is a good place to start, but for what it's worth, my personal EI is biased toward slight overexposure. There's a lot of bright sky in the background here, and I think I took an incident reading in the shade in front of the grille. These first two I'll do at box speed and take to the local lab.
