Hi, I confirm that my 1982 Helios-103 mates perfectly with my Kiev-2A, and mounts also without problems on my Contax-III. I've taken outstanding photos with the Helios-103. 🙂
I have had a similar experience with an 85mm Jupiter (I forget which number Jupiter this is). It would mount easily on one Kiev 4a body, but not on another. I brought both bodies to the dealer who had several of the 85mms, and we found one which would mount on both. The dealer exchanged the lens for the one which would fit both. There was no visible difference in the lenses or in the bodies, but obviously there was something in the tolerances which caused the difficulties. Both bodies were and are fully operable and would accept Helios 103s, J8s, the 35mm and the 135mm Jupiter. Dave
While we're at it, here's mine, that I bought from a very pleasant member here.
Kiev 4a, 2a top (shutter speed etc) and contax front plate. B setting acts more like 2 or 3 seconds though. Thats the only fix needed, and I don't use B on this camera.

It took some getting used to for me. I didnt like it at first, but it was eye catching. It turns heads, so I'm not complaining, long as someone doesnt try to steal it!

I have a 4a parts body minus focus mount that I plan to strip off the chrome plating on the top front and bottom covers and paint black. When I do that I'll be replacing the skin too.
