Kiev "B" setting issue

I have a kiev 4a, and every setting seems to works properly except for bulb. It's weird, I can shoot on bulb, but the shutter doesn't come back up after I release the release. It only comes back up after winding. Is this common?

Sounds like the 2nd curtain mechanism needs cleaning / lubrication.

It is just possible you have the release button latched down and the manufacturing tolerances and wear allow the normal instantenous speeds but latch the 'B' settings as 'T'.

Please try turning the shutter button to see if it will spring up to the 'B' position.

If that fails to have any effect you could try a drop of PTFE liquid down the side of the the release button, before you strip the camera or sent it away.
