Hi
I just received my Kristmas Kiev 2 1951 .
It's supposedly CLA and is more quiet and smooth than my others .
Other than a seemingly recent scratch along the top of the fascia , not on the front , it's lovely . I don't know whether to replace it from a '55 or keep it original , war wounds and all !
The case has a lovely patina but the small strap on one side holding the main strap to the case has broken .
It seems to be held by two rivets .
I have a small section from a scrap strap .
Has anyone attempted this repair , or would a typical shoe mender be able to fix it ? This is my sole genuine KNeB 2 case .
A Happy New year to all .

Hi Dee,

Most of the chances I would be able to repair it. You could email me some digi pics or mail me the case right away. I have some experience here, tools, and most important - great honour feelings towards the Kiev cases.

Cheers,
Ruben
