Here's a shot with 4 year old Reala 100 with the Canon 28/2.8 (@2.8)
The 3.5 is certainly not "sharper" at 2.8
The 2.8 is the one to use, and with the metal Canon VF.
The CV's are OK, but plasticky, more distortion, more flare, and feel cheaper. I've owned them all.
