I just found this very informative article on the LOMO web-site (via a facebook link) and want to give it a try:

It looks like using Caffenol-C-M and washing with neutral water keeps the pH in a range that softens the remjet layer so it can be easily removed by just washing the film with water, no scrubbing needed. Finally a more easy workable solution for the remaining stash of KR64 !

I saw this earlier today (and commented in the article). I thought the negatives looked really neat by themselves.
I don't have any of that particular film but I wondered if that same cafenol mix would work on other remjet films and maybe result in a cool and interesting shot with less mess.

If the chemical structure of the remjet layers is identical in other films it should work similar well. I guess that would be most probably color-cine films ?

sounds interesting.. already started to look out for deals on ECN2 films
