I'm awaiting delivery of 50 rolls of Kodak 100UC dated with expiration 6/06. I have been shooting from a batch of two hundred rolls expired Reala dated 7/07 and it shoots like fresh film. I have heard Reala is not so finicky regarding cool storage and this seems to be the case.

Does anyone have any experience with shooting outdated Kodak 100UC and experiencing color shifts or other problems?

I may be wrong but it appears my Tri-X and other Kodak films do not hold up as well over time as the Fuji and AGFA films.

Any comments regarding Kodak 100UC?

How does it compare to Ektar 100 and Reala? (I Iike to shoot Ektar in lower contrast lighting than the Reala and I shoot both at 50/64 ISO settings)

I'm guessing you'll be fine. Slower speed films tend to age better, and 6/06 isn't all that old. As long as it was stored in reasonable conditions, you should be in good shape.

I've never shot 100UC so I can't really comment. I seem to remember when UC was discontinued that the VC Portras were the recommended replacements. However, they were a hair grainier, though 400 NC and VC have been upgraded since then so they might be a better match now...

I've got a batch of Kodak Gold 100 (100-6) expired in 2003 and it shoots fine.
