So I just found out that Kodak PX125 in 120 format is discontinued :bang:. What are people shooting these days that is similar to it? I still have some left so I will be able to finish the project I am working on, but it would be nice to know what the options are out there. PX and Tri-X were my default films in both 35 and 120 so I am feeling a bit lost...

Cheers

I've used FP-4 in 120, with good results. I haven't bought any in some time, though. I hope it's still available!

Edit: I've also used TMX100 and Delta 100. Of these two, I like Delta 100 better, for its tonality. It seems to preserve more of the look of a traditional film, while improving sharpness.

I'm afraid that is true. Just checked the B&H and Freestyle, it's no longer available.

I'd look at Fomapan Creative 200 as a replacement (I remember reading in other thread they are similar in character), though it is said to curl badly in 120 format.

Plus X is still available from Amazon.com. Get it while you can. Ilford FP-4 is quite similar to Plus x. It is a great film and seems readily available.

I'd say Ilford FP4+.

While I do think Plus-X in 120 is discontinued, just because B&H and Freestyle don't list something doesn't necessarily mean it's discontinued. If you really want to know, the best thing to do is to call Kodak. It's the number at the end of on of their spec sheets for a film. You'll get a guy named Peter on the phone, very nice. He'll let you know what is the current state of things, at least the publicly available version of it.

There was a long discussion about this on APUG a while ago. Based on trusyed members of that forum calling Kodak, it appears to be true that Plus-X is now only available in 35mm cartridges.

To answer the OP question - FP4.
