Kodak expiry dates

Hi All,

Not wanting to start any panic, but has anyone else noticed that the expiry dates on tri-x and tmax don't seem to go beyond early 2016? Or is it just me?

A friend and i were speculating that perhaps they are selling off what they have, bit that not much more seems to be being made.

In contrast - expiry dates on Ilford seem to extend into 2018.

I hope I'm wrong! Have any of you seen Kodak expiry dates going beyond 2016?

Kodak never seems to be more than a couple years out, seems to me. Dates are moving along consistently, last year they were 2015. It's something I pay attention to, too... I have no doubt someone will be along to share their authoritative noises about building 99 or whatever.

As far back as I remember, Ilford always stamped exp. dates that overextended those by Kodak.

This has been my experience too. I don't know the cause, but in most cases Ilford's dates seem to lie about 2 years more into the future.
