Kodak Ultramax

Low enough that I just splashed out on one!!
Very nice! I started a thread here on the forum with images taken with the RETO. Most of my images are cross-posted there, along with many wonderful images from other members. Hope you can share some of your results there. 😁

I've looked at all your pictures in this thread and I've decided I don't care for the color quality, myself. Very much a yellowish cast to it, like old prints that have taken on a color shift. (To be clear -- I like the pictures you've posted; it's the color I'm not crazy about! I think these would look great if converted to grayscale.) One thing is for sure -- the scenery is nothing like New England!

Fair enough, and well taken! I'll freely admit I'm not the best at post-processing color scans, but that's besides the point. To me, the point of these threads is for people share their images so that others can see examples and, short of actually trying it themself, decide for themselves. I'm grateful to others who have posted samples in other similar threads, so glad it has helped you decide.

I actually have shot with Ultramax and been pleased with the results, but it's current date stuff -- has the emulsion been tweaked recently?

I don't know if the emulsion has changed recently, but some recent examples I've shared in this thread are expired in 2019 (i.e., not that expired) and taken with a plastic (including the lens) RETO camera. 😅
