Kodak Verichrome Pan Expired 1970

Brought home roll of 120 Verichrome Pan that expired in 1970. Shoot it or not? Do you think it will turn out for fun?

About five years ago I shot a couple rolls that had expired in 1964. Although there was quite a lot of base fog, the negatives obtained were still printable.

VP was designed to have a long shelf life, and it does!

I shot this on expired Verichrome Pan that expired in 1972.

In a Mamiya RB67 with a 90/3.8C

Good to see this thread. I have some 1982 I'm going to shoot.

Although VP was considered an amateur film I liked it better than Plus X. Maybe Kodak will bring it back. ;-)

I hope you can get something out of it, it wasn't the sharpest film because of the two or three layers. But it was so beautiful, I wish they (someone) would bring it back. Box Camera, 1958, my girlfriend, for a one shutter camera and a fixed f-stop, there is shadow detail and not too much highlight blow out (cropped):

That's one of the reasons back in 2005, when the model approached me about doing some test shoots followed by some creative stuff for personal use that I decided to dig up the rolls of VP I had for use in my Mamiya RB67. I preferred Tri-X and Technical Pan 25 at the time, but for modeling shots out on an overcast day, it had to be the VP.

I seemed to me that you could use any exposure and get an acceptable shot.
