I recently bought a Kodak Vollenda 620 6x9 with a Compur shutter and a Kodak Anastigmat lens f4.5 10.5cm. Shutter spot on and lens clean and clear.
Rolled off some 120 onto 620 spools and shot my first roll. The negatives show lots of fine detail and are sharp but not as sharp as my Voigtlander Bessa II w/Color Skopar.
I have heard a great deal about the quality of the Kodak/Nagel cameras and was expecting them to be equal in sharpness at least.
Am I expecting too much from the Vollenda? Is their reputation based on the solid construction and not the optics?
Has anyone had any experience with the Vollenda 620?
Cheers
Peter

I own two Vollenda, one with Schneider Radionar, the other with a Laudar anastigmat. They are not made by Kodak, but by Nagel and they use 120 film.
This folders are very well made and the lens are good.
Nagel Vollenda 70/1
Sample with Laudar anastigmat lens
and with Schneider Radionar

Your images are very good.
May I please ask for some technical information? Your choice of film, did you develop it yourself and were the prints made digitally?
