I'm eyeing a Canon lens at Koh's Camera, and thought I check first to see if there have been any surprises with this store. Anything positive or maybe a negative experience I should know about before committing? Better to ask first that regret later, I say.

Thanks in advance.

When I first wanted to get an OM1n they had one for a good price but no other info - it had just been added to the inventory. So I emailed and enquired and asked about the condition. Jimmy called back and was happy talking for a bit on the phone and was good enough to put up excellent pictures of it detailing ever little ding and rub - very meticulous description. I did pass on it (because it would have needed a CLA to tweak the shutter speeds) eventually but he still sticks in my head as the nicest cameraman I've ever interacted with. Cheers, -Gautham

Be sure to ask if he has filters and shade to fit that lens...KOH might have them but they might forget to suggest...that's important with Canon rangefinder lenses.

I just called them to place an order... and Jimmy even gave me the UPS track number over the phone. He shipped the lens shortly after my call too...

This isn't my first time buying from them. I got my Contax G1 and 45 Planar from them, and my very first Summicron lens too. Jimmy is great, and his daughters are equally attentive to service and just as knowledgeable. In short, most recommended. 🙂

Jimmy Koh is a reputable seller. Great prices too. He'll pull the lens or camera off the shelf and describe them exactly for you. One of my favorite people to do business with.
