Komura 105mm 3.5 ltm on Leica M9

There is also a 105/F2.5 as well as 105/F2.8 in LTM. I know, as I have one along with my very cherished 36/F1.8, found after searching for a dozen yrs.

My first Komura purchase was a 35/F2.8 in the original box and a bit later the 80/F1.8 mentioned earlier. Had a 105/F2 at one time but as mentioned it was too heavy kind of like the canon 100/F2 for smaller LTM bodies.

I have added some contrast to the next three images here:

I'm glad you were able to get one and only decent and not nothing special picture from it.

I posted about this technique in another thread- I was a bit frustrated about how "flare-y" and low contrast my Komura 105 3.5 would get when there was any backlight or strong light source anywhere around the subject. Having had success with the technique on my Fed 100 6.3, I painted the rear inner lens barrel with Maxx Darth paint. This made a huge difference, based on visual inspection looking through the rear of the lens. There was a lot less light bouncing around after painting, despite the inner barrel being full blackened from the factory. Presumably this is due to the large image circle of long FL lenses, coupled with excessively reflective inner barrel surfaces. Contrast seems to have improved and the faint veiling flare seems to be gone. Who knew...

I own the same lens. My sample was glossy inside the tube and was lacking contrast and prone to flare.

After painting the interior with matte black paint the contrast improved significally. The sharpness is very good. I used it with my Canon 7s.
