Trask, never saw a 105mm 2.5 for Leica before, can you tell me what the minimum aperture and filter size are and I'll included it in my listing.
raid, what is the filter size and minimum aperture on your lens please?
TIA guys
Johan: minimum aperture is 22.

I need to measure the filter size. My lens seems to have an adapter for the filter.

Minimum aperture for the 105mm /f2.5 is f/16. I am 95% certain that it takes a 48mm filter — it doesn’t take a 49mm or a 46mm, and it does accept an internal friction-fit lens cap that fits my Canon LTM 50mm f/1.4 lens, which Canon Camera Museum Lens Hall confirms takes 48mm filters. If only I had a 48mm filter on hand...

Raid, your post has reminded me of a lens I own and which was packed away so far. Since my divorce I moved house twice in 14 months, some things still needed unpacking...
A Sankyo Optical Works Ltd. made lens, marked Komura- 1.5m/m 3.5. Complete set with caps, viewfinder and case. Very clean. Four-digit serial number, bright and matte chrome. I'm thinking this is brass too, it is quite heavy.![]()
I have to disagree with Brian, mine is remarkably sharp wide open already, which is quite an accomplishment for a 1950s lens.
I have added both your lens and my own to the listing on my website https://johanniels.com/komura-lenses-for-leica-cameras-overview/
Brian may have meant the construction/ design since his thread was about putting together the lens after taking it apart to clean things up.

I found this online. I hope that it has correct information on the Komura 105mm 3.5
The 105 with the handwriting Komura engraved is very rare. There is at least five different versions of the F3.5 version I can find. Here is the five versions arranged in chronological order.
1st version, all chrome, 4-digit serial
2nd version, similar to v1 with block color focus and aperture ring, handwriting 'Komura' on nameplate(your copy), 6-digit serial
3rd version, similar to v1, all black except the chrome front part, 6-digit serial
4th version, similar to v3 with the mount and DOF part in black, 6-digit serial
5th version, all black except the bottom chrome mount, with new different style focus and aperture ring, 7-digit serial

Just had to put together my collection of Sankyo Komura's. All are LTM and I have collected these over a twenty year period. No doubt the rarest is the 36/1.8 which I have ever only run across maybe 4 examples in twenty years, with this one the only opportunity I had to purchase. I know there is one on Ebay at the moment from a Japanese seller, listed for $2999 and I know of another which was in better condition which sold for about the same amount. I feel lucky to have found the 80/ 1.8 and a very mint 105/2.5 (Odd as this is usually an SLR Mount). In going through my collection,
I even forgot about the 135/3.5 and I know I have somewhere a 135/2.8 in M42 Mount. It will no doubt turn up.... I started with a mint in the box 105/2 LTM but found it way to heavy to use much on my Leica and Leotax RF bodies.
