Thanks! How du you find the image quality compared to the 50 Lux asph?

I have not used any 50mm lens sharper/more contrasty than the Lux ASPH (maybe only beaten by the Nikkor-S Millennium in the center). The M-Hexanon in comparison, is quite easy to handle. I do not have willing subjects at the moment (my son moves to much and will not keep still nor cooperate), so I will have better pictures in the near future. The Hexanon is quite good wide open.

Hacker, these photos are stunning !!!! Thanks for posting these. It seems that the 50/1.2 shows less vignetting in the corners compared with the Noctilux, when used at full aperture. Is this due to the software of the M8 ?

All my shots are not cropped, only resized (lazy me). I was quite shocked when all my shots did not exhibit vignetting at all, and the lens is not even coded. Sample here:

Thanks for posting these Hacker. The field (of in focus area) looks flatter than a Noctilux at f1.2. It looks plenty sharp from photos this size. If you keep posting photos from the 50mm the one for $2150 won't last long.😉

The Konica lenses are amazing. I'm also curious about the 50 2.4 collapsible. Supposed to be sharper than the current Elmar. Can anyone post an example shot?

Nice shots Stephen. Are some of these wide open? If not could you show some examples with close focus and wide open pretty please 🙂

IIRC, #2 and #3 are at f1.2. Here is one more taken at lunch time, having the kid sit in the high chair (captive audience):

Riccis has it and I have his 50 Lux Asph. His 0.95 is beeing calibrated to one of his M8´s so he loans mine in the meantime. I have been thinking of either a 50 Lux asph or one of the Konicas in the future. 🙂 I havent tested the 50 Lux asph to much yet, but it s very sharp.

If you like tack sharp, please do consider the S-Nikkor 50mm f1.4 Millennium.

Hello, I've used the 60/1.2 with both the Epson R-D1 and with film Leicas. There is no noticible vignetting on film with the 60mm wide-open, or at any other apertures. I have a nice neg of my baby daughter shot recently with this lens on film that I will scan at some point and try to post here.

Okay, so I ended up having some time for scanning today. Here are two frames shot with an Leica M3 and Konica 60mm f/1.2 at f/1.2 on Fuji Superia 100 (one was converted to B&W, obviously). Distance was around 1 meter.

I don't see an obvious amount of vignetting. The lighting in the B&W frame was a bit un-even and it looks a little vignetted, but I don't think it is (see bottom left corner).
