Konica C35 rangefinder stuck

Tore into the c35, and after some fiddling around, found the pin that presses on the rangefinder mechanism sticks in one position. I can push it the other way and turning the focus ring will move it back to the stuck position.

What could be the problem? Dirt causing it to stick? Do I need to open up the back of the lens or it's mount?

Do you have repair manual?
does it have spring to pop it back?
does it take/need new lubricant?

I have a C35 also, but I had general cleaning done to adjust the RF INF and alinement, and check the meter circuits. Not sure what my repair guy did, but the RF is smooth and alined, and the meter with a Zink-Air is spot on!

Hi,

I don't have the manual, and so far, I've found tear down info in picture format, but not anything specific to the problem. I can hold the viewfinder/rangefinder assembly in my hand and move the spring lever on the bottom. The rangefinder moves as it should, so I think the pin that moves the lever is the problem.

The plunger will only move back when it is pushing against the rangefinder actuating lever. Without the rangefinder mounted, it will just sit there after you roll the focus ring on the lens. A small amount of something like Super Lube will help keep it moving free. Also check the actuating lever on the bottom of the rangefinder to see if it needs a cleaning and re-lube.

I have the same issue. My plunger only moves about 1mm when I focus from infinity to 3.5 feet. I removed the plunger, lubed the RF mechanism and also took apart the lens but I could find nothing that looked out of place that could prevent it from moving more. I'm at a loss right now.
