One of the last of my moving boxes was opened this afternoon. I've been lately spending all my time with my canon P's What a pleasant surprise to find my little EE matic agan. I must run a roll through it this week. Any one else have one of these gems? Red R.

i would love to see your result.

i have a EE-matic deluxe 2, a minimal beauty.
never try it because i could not find a instruction manual AND it has THAT battery issue,
i tried LR44 and 675 (for hearing aid), but still can't activate the auto mode--the little red light in the view finder is on when i half press the shutter button.
don't know if it's due to
(a) battery size too small (i tried filling in potato chip bag--is it tin or something else?);
or
(b) bad contact (tried vinegar);
or
PERHAPS,
(c) it is one of those "if you don't put film into it then it won't work" cameras?

any clue?

and what does the "G.N."(in second pic) mean?

"G.N." stands for "Guide Number", corresponds to guide number on the flash.

About the battery, go to a hardware stor and find a rubber "O" ring that fits around the hearing aid battery and try it that way. Or use an EPX-13 alkaline battery (the meter will be off, but you would at least know if it works) or the Wein Cell MRB625.

I have a Wards 450 (re-branded EE-Matic Deluxe 2), but it is a shelf queen. The meter works, but it is missing the rear lens element, among other issues. Very pretty camera, though.
