Hi folks
Anyone know what the Koinca Hexar AF (not RF) error code E22 means and is it an expensive repair? Circuit board?
Af works, but on pressing the shutter the cam locks and E22 appears....

I feel for you and dread the day when I see this on my Hexar AF. I have never heard of the problem, and would also be interested to see what others have to say. Good luck, John.

One of the things that got my Hexar-AF in a state of frenzy was a stuck mid-roll rewind button. My own bad; I had pressed it in sideways so that it slid somewhat under the top cover. Had to wiggle it to become loose again.

Do you have a filter on the lens? If so, take it off, remove the battery, put in the battery, turn on the camera. Do not use that particular filter anymore!

OK - thanks Ray, Peter & Kevin those might be solutions - did either of you see error code 22 come up on your display in those instances?

If I remember correctly, the stuck mid-roll rewind button kept blinking -0- just like when the film leader is abound to be rewound in the film cartridge.
The lens against the filter jam error was EEE.
And I recall having read that stuck up/down buttons causes an E20 or similar error.
Other things to check: if it's a problem related to AF, then the AF-MF selection button may be stuck. Can you still select manual focus and set distance at 0.6m? Can you cycle between AF-inifinity-MF? May be worth a try to verify as well..

Hi,
My Hexar shows the same error code. Sad to say that the complete
shutter has been replaced (expensive!) twice in the past 10 years. I'm afraid
I should consider the camera dead now, or pay big bucks for a third time...
