Well yet another thread related to this camera, except this time with a more pragmatic viewpoint.

I have looked desperately for this camera yet the prices vary widely and so do the sources. Does anyone know how much this camera should cost in US dollars? Second, does anyone know where they are being sold? I've seen a few on evilbay but I think they are way overpriced.

They pop up here now and again at $400 +/- $50.

Be patient and buy one here. The odds of a good deal on a good camera are much higher.

Current average prices in Tokyo are about the same as stated above. They are plentiful here.
