Konica III, IIIM filter size

Hello,
I was lucky enough to snag a Konica III and a IIIM camera for a pretty fair price, but I need to know; does anyone out there know the filter sizes for these camera's lenses? Also, what were the original hood configurations? Were they slip-on, or something else? I could probably just use a screw-in hood on them using the filter size, but I was just curious.

That depends on lens. 48/2 lens has 35.5mm threds. I got durable plastic cone shaped hood from ebay for my KIII.

My SIII sports 49mm, but I doubt that is any help.

If the IIIM is the same as the IIIA (50mm f/1.8 Hexanon) then you're looking for a 43mm filter (the S & W parallel-sided ventilated hood will happily sit on the end of a filter without vignetting).

Read what Raid said...that's good point. When hunting for broken aperture blade, I finally sent shutter to Greg Weber which in turn fetched blade from Japan, with two tries as there were differences between Japan and U.S.A. models and mine appeared to be Japanese, which later has travelled over big water (and then one more time to me).

My IIIM is a 50mm f1.8, the III is a 48mm f2.0.

Just a thought; I've heard half-frame cameras were supposed to have been made at the time for people on a budget, who could get twice the amount of shots on a roll. Why would Konica make a high-end camera with a half-frame option?

The film advance requires two moves to advance a frame. Pull down once, it is automatically suitable as half farme.
