Konica IIIM - How to remove the top

Hi Folks, picked up a nice IIIM but the viewfinder is a bit hazy. Does anyone know if there are any tricks to removing the top. Also, as is usual with these, the Selenium Light Meter doesn't work. I was wondering if the selenium has died or if it is more to do with the strange little bayonet connector. Any thoughts? 😕
