Hi. Could anyone advise the best way to replace the eyepiece glass, please? I'm looking at donor cameras and getting another S3 is looking very difficult and expensive. Would a Konica C35 work or is there something else? I'm also worried I could break the glass removing it from the donor camera so any tips would be appreciated
I think they are the same- but have not had an S3 in a long time.
The viewfinder eyepiece is in a plastic frame, and just melted in place with tabs that line up with a through-hole on the top plate. You will probably have to glue it into place.
Just to add: I found my Minolta Hi-Matic 7s-II: this is the same chassis as the S3. The viewfinder is in the same position as the C35- one more data point.

Thanks for your help. The glass in the c35 looked like it should've worked but everything is out of focus. Even the meter bar is not in focus so think it's not the right glass for the S3. Any other thoughts?
